Note à une chère amie

J’entends mon cerveau formant la phrase «  T’es trop gentille, mon Amie! » afin de te remercier plus fortement que normalement. Mais je m’arrête en me demandant si ce n’est pas un usage du mot « trop » qu’utilisent les Tunisiens et pas les Français. La langue Arabe ne distingue pas « très” et « trop », que je sache. Pour moi, « trop gentille » a un sens négatif, c’est-à-dire qu’il est possible d’être excessivement gentille (Proust pourrait sans doute imaginer une douzaine de scénarios ou on peut être excessivement gentils.)

Bottom line: «  T’es très gentille, mon Amie! »
